I think it’s sad that hardcore culture has turned into this “brocore” movement....
– (via shambling-riot
)
Agreed! It’s not like punk has ever been an egalitarian utopia or anything, but a lot of hardcore bros are just extremely horrible sexist, homophobic macho jock douchebags. Pretty much the same demographic that would call me a faggot and beat me bloody for, you know,...

Just got an angry email from a client who I did some work for threatening to report his payment to me as fraud because he thinks I didn’t reply to an email I actually did reply to 8 fucking days ago. This douche wants me to do more work than I’ve been paid for, because he changed his mind and decided he didn’t want to use the stuff he hired me to make.
Even though I need to save...

Sascha's Pennysavers
pussytooth:
Become an anarchist so you can feel self-righteous about your life-long relative poverty instead of terribly ashamed & crushed (not really a Penny Saver but possibly a Life Saver)
Sage advice from uncle Sascha.

Apparently, eating chips and a pack of cookies for...
My stomach is all fucked up. I’m gettin’ old kids. Used to be a day where I could eat uncooked meat and rotten milk and be fine, now my gut is a weak fuck.
I guess I don’t exactly miss those days, but it was nice to be more or less heavily conditioned against basic food poisoning and poor dietary choices.

I just got a horrible idea:
An advertising jingle themed Power Electronics band. I was walking around when a version of the “cotton” theme song popped into my head, only it was like a Whitehouse or Slugun song:
The TOOOUCHHH the Feeeeeeeeeeeeel *feedback, static hiss* of COTTOOOOOON.
THE FABRIC OF OUR LIIIIIIIIIIVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEESSSSSS *More feedback, high octave synth squeals*.
I know there have been novelty...

I’m very interested in (edit: *participating in) the comix anthology! the others sound super neat too. I love reading/reading about your art work so much.
Cool, thanks! I’ll be posting more about it when it’s closer to happening, it probably won’t be for a few months at least. But I’ll say something about when...

Went and saw the Body Worlds exhibit today at omsi with my partner and our roommate. Twas pretty cool, lots of interesting corpses and body parts. I kind of wished that there would have been a bit more in the exhibit, but overall it was pretty cool, it’s always weird to see anatomy in person. Lots of very pretty stuff. There was a huge plastinated giraffe.
I think I enjoyed the mutter...

Upcoming zine projects
Untitled comix antho-
I’ve decided in a few months or so I’m going to put together a small comix anthology zine open to contributors. Not sure what It’ll be called, but if you’re interested let me know. It’ll be small run initially, like 50 copies at first printing. The only requirement is that all comix be short enough to fit on one 1/2 size piece of paper. Multiple...

Got a book of Gary Panter art out from the library
I really dig his stuff. Though I’m kinda worried people might think my painting style is ripping him off, when I wasn’t even aware of his existence until a few months ago…
But yeah, I do like a lot of his work.

no i had zero information or idea so that does help. thx!
Cool, glad to help.
Also, a lot of smaller galleries have websites that actually list how they prefer to be contacted about work and their submission guidelines.
If you’re not like me and the thought of randomly walking into a gallery and talking...
squabblenoise replied to your post: Two Art Gallery Memories
i have a super practical question, ive never delt with, had the opportunity to or tried to interact with a gallery. its an idea ive been flirting with. so if i have painting X in my hand how does it make its way into a gallery? portfolio to location?
To be honest I’m not the best person to ask about getting into regular...
