i have a super practical question, ive never delt with, had the opportunity to or tried to interact with a gallery. its an idea ive been flirting with. so if i have painting X in my hand how does it make its way into a gallery? portfolio to location?

To be honest I’m not the best person to ask about getting into regular galleries. I specifically look for galleries that accept email submissions or post ads on craigslist, which isn’t how one gets into a lot of galleries.

Pretty much if I see that a gallery is trying to put together a show and I can email them some shit and it looks like they might fit with my stuff, I do it.

That’s how I got into most of the shows I’ve been in, and how I found the gallery I was a resident artist at for a few years.

But this is very different from how a lot of galleries work, so sorry I can’t help much on that front.
