They’re preparing an exhibition of…

This is interesting, I may try to send them some stuff.

Carl Sagan talkin’ about books and libraries. I really love this guy, I’m bummed he’s dead.

Books are in fact magic.

I liked it, I definitely want to read the rest. I kind of feel like the writing could be stronger, but overall it’s good, and I enjoy drawings of goth girls, so yeah.

Totally! I love libraries in general. One of the main things that literally kept me alive as a kid.

It’s really interesting so far, I’m only like 50 pages in. Haven’t gotten to the punk part of her life yet, but the parts about her childhood are rather good, if somewhat depressing.

Also, I really dug My New York Diary, though I had already read some of it via my Dirty Plotte back issues. I love Julie Doucet’s comics. I guess she has new comic work coming out, which makes me happy. I like her collages and other work too, but not quite as much.

Lol! I discovered Love and Rockets at a library.

“stair at”. Almost all the Love and Rockets and Los Bros books I’ve read through were through libraries. Pretty much most of the graphic novels I’ve ever read were either from libraries, loitering in books stores, or really fucking cheap deals somewhere. Mostly libraries.
Libraries are one of the things that kept me from killing myself as a kid, so fuck these assholes. Censorship has no fucking place in an institution dedicated to open, free access to knowledge.
